Australian vegetarian Shopping Basics?????

i'm a new vegetarian and i would like to know where all the aussie vegetarians get all their Shopping Basics????

Hi Ash, I'm an Aussie vegan and I buy all my wholefood staples from either the supermarket or the health stores in my town. If you're eating eggs and milk I suggest buying from a health store where they are mos tlikely to be receptive to your questions about "ethical farming" and which is most veg suitable. Check for rennet free cheese. There are not many online Aussie veg shops, but there is http://www.crueltyfreeshop.com.au... and I often order items from http://www.veganessentials.com which is an American store.

Since you are new to veg*ism I really suggest joining a few Aussie veg communities online for support and learning about ways to live veg easily.

http://www.vegsoc.org.au is Queensland's veg society and forum site, it is rather active and people from other States are most welcome.

There is also http://www.vnv.org.au which has alot of info and a good forum.

http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/... is an American based site but it is huge and has subforums for all countries and types of veggies.

http://www.eggplantempire.net/forums/... is a small new site if you prefer a more personal forum, has a small group of Aussies as well as some international veggies.
