How do you go about buying/having produce delivered from a local farmer?!

Question:

How do you go about buying/having produce delivered from a local farmer?

I have recently found the site localharvest.com, but there are terms like share ect that I don't understand. I would love some advice from those who get their produce delivered from a local farmer.

Answers:

The idea of a share is basically you sign up for a subscription that runs for a period of time like 3 months or 6 months, or whatever term the farm works with. Then you receive a share of the crops from the farm, generally a box with a mixture of various items. The specific farm would have more details on their own share program.

Some of the share programs do provide delivery, either to a public location where you go pick it up during a certain time of the day or they deliver to your home. However I think deliver to your home will cost a bit more.
