I know I won't financially support these industries... But how can people be educated and what more can we do to end this injustice.

Well, if you're still young and about to enter college, you can try getting in to a major that will help you either spread the word about the horrible abuse that goes on (i.e. write a book), get in to politics to help stop things at a larger level, intern then work for PETA, and other things I just can't think of at the moment. Oh, also, sound silly, but you could open up your own shop vegan convenient store. There's one in New Jersey. That helps spread the word and helps other vegans out too. Oh, better yet, vegan restaurant. If you love to cook, you could become a chef. Make it a flashy place so that more people come, thus more people are informed of the vegan life style.
