What supplement should vegetarians be taking?!


Question:

What supplement should vegetarians be taking?

My husband and I are Lacto-Ovo-Pesco Vegetarians; which means we include dairy products, eggs, and fish into their diets.

I want to know which supplements we should be taking. And any well establish brands one might recommend.

Answers:

You don't have to take any supplements - you'll get all the nutrients you need from you diet, as long as you eat a variety of foods, and strive for at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies every day. The meat that is on the grocery shelves today doesn't have much nutrition in it due to the horrible diet fed to farm animals.

You can take a one-a-day type vitamin if you like, but striving to eat a well balanced diet is a much better option.
