What is the tastiest AND healthiest bread?
I'm asking this in the vegan section because I am vegan and want to ensure that the bread replies I get are vegan. However, I won't get grouchy about non-vegan responses. Just an FYI.
I need a bread that is good for sandwiches and toast. I stand around for like 15 minutes looking at all the different kinds of bread at the grocery store and usually just end up getting what I always get, but I know it's not the best for me. I need something affordable as well because I am cheap. :) Specific brand names are a plus!

I buy a bread from Germany called Mestermacher. I find it in some smaller grocery stores or they can probably be found in European specialty stores. It's made from whole grains, yeast and salt.
