Are the energy drinks vegetarian? How about vegan?!

Question:

Are the energy drinks vegetarian? How about vegan?

What is taurine?

Answers:

The first answer is wrong. Taurine is a common amino acid, found in many foods and originally isolated (meaning the scientists discovered it this way) in bull bile, not semen. Bile is a substance from the liver. You synthesize taurine in your body naturally and taurine is the substance without which cats would go blind, as they lack the ability to synthesize it.

I'm not sure of source in energy drinks, but as it is an amino acid most often found in meat, there's a chance it is animal sourced. For other health reasons you should probably stay away from the energy drinks anyway.
