Question:

Why are the beanburgers in Burger King not marked with the Vegetarian Society symbol?

Is it because they are cooked along with the meaty burgers?

MikeL: the word burger does not necessarily denote meat. Hence the term "veggie burger". Patty isn't a commonly used term in the UK.

Answers:

Burger King would have to seek approval via the veggie soc. This costs money ( about £260 ) but they are unlikely to get approval because of cross-contamination.

Its something i mention in this forum quiter often, there are unlilkely to be any mixed food resturants where the food labelled as "veggie" is actually vegetarian. They can't help themselves with cross contamination, its just not in thier thoughts that its a problem.

Why would any vegetarian want to give profit to BK though, they will just spend the money of killing more cows you know.

BK, MCDs....Its the devils own work.
