Answers:

Austin just lost three vegetarian restaurants in the past few months so it is pretty slim picking right now.

Try this new website for all kinds of ideas.

My personal faves right now are Mr. Natural (vegetarian/vegan mexican joint) Wheatsville Coop (lots of tasty options in their deli) .Dhaba Joy (a new vegan bakery with a small selection of sandwiches) and Veggie Heaven (all vegetarian/vegan mostly Asian - try the Protein 2000!!!)
All of these place are inexpensive and very casual.

ETA: Mother's Cafe had a pretty severe fire in March they have been closed since but are planning to re-open. Cosmic Cafe (in the old West Lynn Cafe building) was a veg Indian place that just closed (not sure why) and NuAge Cafe closed due to family health problems (or so I heard).
And YES!! Casa de Luz is amazing - shame on me for forgetting it! (and it is still open)
I also agree that Veggie Heaven is kinda creepy -so I get my food to go when I need my Protein 2000 fix!!!
