What can you use to replace evaporated milk?

is there a soy alternative??
ive tried to goats kind but... it's not that great.

Can you get any powdered soy-milk? ( I think there is one calle "Better Than Milk") Then you could mix a thicker, richer milk similar to evaporated milk consistency. Use 6 tablespoons of powder and add water to make 1 cup.
Or perhaps you could reduce some by simmering it a while. ...

2 1/2 cups Silk Soymilk

Instructions
Bring to a boil over a medium heat, stirring constantly until the volume is reduced to 1 cup. Cool and refrigerate.


Or you could not worry about it too much and just use ordinary strength; it just won't be as rich...
