Well, before I asked this question I LOVED pepperoni


Answers:

Pepper and Roni ... well, actually only the first couple batches were *actually* made out of Roni ... the poor bastid narked on the Mafia and had to be taken care of, if you know what I mean and I think you do. They made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Then, people liked the meat so much that the Mafia had to keep making it and there you have it.
