What vegetable other then soy has the ~highest~ *PROTEIN* & ~lowest~ *CALORIE* count?

If you could name the TOP 3 (excluding soy), I would greatly appreciate it.

per gram and calorie count, nuts aren't that great unless I want to play endless hours of DDR to burn off the calories LOL. Beans, yes I know, but what exact type of beans? I know only of Black Bean and Red Beans, and of course Soy.


Answers:

Chickpeas (sometimes called garbanzo beans) are great. It's what hummus is made of. You can even make a mock-egg salad out of them. Quinoa, a grain, is also a great source of protein. Seeds of Change makes a seasoned quinoa blend in a box that is pretty good, just add water. You can also get quinoa pasta which is pretty tasty.

You can get lowfat peanut butter but it's partly made out of soy. You can also reduce the fat in all-natural peanut butter by pouring off the oil but that makes it really dry and not so tasty.
