Tofu- fresh or spoiled?!

Tofu- fresh or spoiled?

How do you tell whether tofu is okay to eat- it already looks a little "iffy". Which one do you recommend- packaged in refrigerated section of store- or shelf stored?

they sell it unrefrigerated in cartons in varying types. I would trust that more than the type people could pick up walk around with and then put back warm.
So it would have an offensive smell or spots of mold?


Answers:

check the date. if its for some reason missing you can tell from the smell or spots
by shelf u meaan canned right - i always prefer refrigerated one - its got a freasher taste
