Can you still have dairy products if your a vegetarian?!

Question:

Can you still have dairy products if your a vegetarian?

Being a vegetarian is when you just don't eat meat and eggs right?

Answers:

I have been a vegetarian for a five and a half years. I categorize my vegetarianism as 'I don't eat anything that had to die to get on my plate'. Milk and Cheese are contributions (there are arguments about the rennet in cheese) so they are OK in my book.

I am a vegetarian and I eat cheese. I don't eat fish. And I don't eat shellfish. If it died to be on my plate, I don't eat it =)
