Why is the natural food store soooo expensive?
I just became vegan recently and have been visiting different organic stores. I noticed a huge hike in the price compared to our every day grocery stores. Is it worth buying from these stores than the grocery stores? I don't want to spend a crap load of money if I don't have to. Also regarding organic soaps and shampoos.... I noticed like a 8 oz bottle is like $8 (cheapest). Does the shampoo and bars of soap last a long time compared to Suave and Herbal Essence? If it does, I'll try it, but I am only a nurses aid and I'm not rollin in the dough. Thanks to you all for taking your time to help a friend out!

Two really cheap vegan hair products:
White Rain, 80 cents or so for a 20 oz. bottle, found in any Target, Walmart, etc. is incidentally made without animal testing or using animal products.
