To tone the abdominal muscles you can do crunches (sit ups are not as effective as crunches and strain your neck), flutter kicks, and there are some yoga moves that help with toning. Also, look into yoga breathing techniques. Most people do not breath throught their chest but rather through their stomach which causes the abdominal muscle to relax and you loose a lot of productivity when you don't breathe properly.
