I want to know what you have to do to get the nutrients you need and how to perservere?

Answers:

Well, what info do you need exactly?

Dark green leafy veggies will provide some calcium, but if you're going to opt out of dairy, you should still take a supplement.

Roughly 50% of your body weight should be eaten in protein grams, i.e. if you weigh 120 lbs, you should eat about 50-60 grams of protein a day. This can be challenging. Luckily there are lots of "fake meat" options out there. For those who think thats hypocritical, they can just shove it! If I have to look at one more gardenburger after almost 20 years of being a veggie, I'll kill someone! (but still not an animal :)

Cheese is NOT a meat replacement.

You need to eat beans & rice together to make a complete protein.

Tofu has a high fat content, so watch it (unless you're vegan, then you'll need the fat)

Getting your Omega 3's can also be challenging. Raw almonds, flax seed (which can be added to almost anything in the ground form - cakes, breads, soups, salads, yogurt), and olive oil are all good sources, but again you may want to look at supplements.

Other than that, welcome to the team!
