Vegetarian protien choices?!

Question:

Vegetarian protien choices?

I am deathly allergic to peanuts, which are related to chikpeas, lentils, peas, and soybeans. So I get allergic reactions to these foods as well. I am really trying to live as a vegetarian, but it is quite difficult to find good protein sources because of my limitations. I can not eat whole soy beans, soy milk, or products made with soy protein -- however-- oddly enough, somehow, tofu is okay for me. Anyone else like me? Or anyone know of any other good and tasty protein options? Thanks!

Answers:

Well that really does limit the choices doesnt it?

i dont really believe in 'allergies'. i had a few fairly bad ones when i was a kid, hayfever from plants and animals, gluten and dairy in food. funnily enough when i actively started getting healthier they just sorta went away.

i think the body has trouble ealing with stuff when its not in an optimal state, i think if you bring your body back to its optimal state you can conquer alergies.

as for a protein source i would be worried about consuming too much soy, with its phytoestrogen content. one easy one is mushrooms which im guessing you would be okay with as they arent seeds or nuts, hemp protien powder might also be an option, though i think its still a seed.

that said i take no responsibility if anything ive suggested hammers you! : )
