Answers:

I've eaten it a few times before, but I don't eat it anymore because of the eggs in it. It was extremely tasty, one of the best meat analogs I've ever had, and I had absolutely no adverse effects to it. But a small (yet significant) percentage of the population does, and their reactions can be quite severe.

I think they should make it known that it is a common allergen, and you should take some amount of caution when trying it for your first time. It's like when someone first gives a baby peanut butter or fish, and they introduce things one food at a time, watching carefully for allergic reactions. I think the probability that one will get ill (less than 5% of the pop.) is low enough that it was worth trying. May or may not be for you.
