Is it better to die healthy or happy?!

Question:

Is it better to die healthy or happy?

I've recently found out that I am a type two diabetic (after having lost lots and lots of weight).

Every day I wake up and want to eat something ...
I'm mad. I can't have sweets anymore, and the diabetes is making me want to eat and eat and eat even though I don't eat. I feel most of the time like I am starving to death. Even though I am not.

I've done some great things. Quit smoking, quit eating sugar, carbs, and I excersise three to four times a week.

Still, I'm essentially dying (I feel diabetes is one step closer to the grave). So therefore why should I do this? I'm not happy.

No food does not make me happy, and I feel better now that I am thin but I can't eat and it is killing me ... one way or the other.

Answers:

In my opinion people are happy when they are healthy. It is best to die happy. Being healthy prolongs your life, makes you a happier person. Diabetes is not one step closer to the grave. Type 2 diabetes can be overcome (my mom overcame it). It's a life changer I'll be honest, but it's not a life ender.

If you change your eating habits and stick with it, it can lessen the severity of diabetes in a major way.

In the end though, it is best to die happy, because in the next life, health isn't an issue.

Take Care! :)

And congrats on all of the changes you have already made.
