Mars Candy?

I saw on the news that the Mars Candy company has been using enzymes from calves' stomaches to make their candy. Is this true?!

I'm not vegan. Just vegetarian. I do cut out things like chicken broth, and other things that require killing the animal. When I move out, I plan on raising a lot of my own food, such as hens for eggs. This way, I won't need to worry about where my food came from and exactly how truthful labels are.

Mars in the UK was for a brief period of time using Whey in their candies that may have been made using rennet. (They couldn't be sure, so they told people that it was not vegetarian.)

Folks got very upset and thousands of people deluged the Mars offices with emails and phone calls. Mars took a step back and found a new source for their whey for their candy bars and are now completely vegetarian.

This was just in the UK, it had nothing to do with the American bars, which are still vegetarian.
