Do You Support the Ban on Shark Finning?!

Question:

Do You Support the Ban on Shark Finning?

Dear YA posters,
I was deeply concerned with the number of posters who were unaware of the effects of finning on the shark population, the marine eco-system & methods used.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...

Finning is listed as one of the causes for the rapid decline of global shark populations.
On the IUCN red list there are 39 species of elasmobranches listed as threatened species (Critically Endangered, Endangered or Vulnerable).
The situation is dire, please read my links & spread the word...

thanks for the recipe Me, it does look delicious.
you do realise that if you omit the sharks fins, it would cost you about $100 less, it would taste exactly the same
AND as a freebie!!! you contribute to saving these endangered animals.
Spread the word.

Answers:

Yes, I do.... but I bet you knew that already. It is going to be a tragedy when they are gone. Creatures that have lived for hundreds of millions of years, and we are driving them extinct. It's a shame with any animal... but I especially hate it when it involves creatures that are as majestic as these animals are... and to be slaughtered in such a horrific manner.
Ignorant people often respond that they are monsters.... but they aren't at all. They're beautiful.
