Is soy bad for you??!

Question:

Is soy bad for you??

Answers:

not really.. but products with soy could be.. depending on what chemicals are added in the process.

of course that goes for all processed products. our bodies just don't like trying to digest all that inert material.

watch out for soy products that make false claims.. such as non dairy soy cheese.. some have dairy in it.

watch out for those vegan friendly products... same problem.. dairy and or other animal products in it.. so much for the soy part.

and not all soy is good.. just because it says soy... soy lecithin is not good for you...

soy nuts aren't bad for you.... some soynut butter is not bad for you.. (read those labels..) but be cautious like with most foods... (processed) you're going to be compounded with long labels of ingredients... and soy like with most things the goodness of it is terminated by all those chemicals and other additives.

otherwise unmolested soy or soy products with very little additves are good.

soymilk is real good for you... i like 'silk' soy milk... it's got chemicals in it but seems their list of ingredients isn't too long and it doesn't give me a hard time. plus it's better than regular milk any day. regular dairy milks have a tendancy to incure indigestion, stomach issues, gird, heartburn......

and as you know dairy (milk and other) leads to high cholesterol (i should know) and hardening of the arteries (cholesterol related, triglyceride related and chemicals used in milk and other dairy products to give it "stability" with shelf life, transport and other nonbinders so it doesn't clump up, go bad, turn sour and to make it more mixable with other things such as alcohol (milk) and make cheese more spreadable and melt without burning or clumping quickly ... so on. (ice cream keep it from hardening and drying out).

soy generally, (you read up on soy) soy is a good alternative in many ways.. just watch what you buy.
