Question:

I had an idea for vegi fish & chips:?

slice an aubergine into fish size steaks, ie long thin length ways, use a beer batter(no egg) with sparkling water and self raising flour, and deep fry.

Is this a good idea and have any of u tried it?

Ooh, that sounds great! The recipe sounds like eggplant tempura with possibly heartier batter. Served with fries, I guess it would be similar to fish and chips. Very good idea.
