I need ways to stay full?!

Question:

I need ways to stay full?

Being vegetarian, I find it hard to keep full on low fat foods. How can I maintain being full with still being healthy and vegetarian? I need easy, convenient ways.

Answers:

Fill up on fruits and vegetables. Add vegetables to every meal-bulk up sandwiches with raw salads, add steamed veges to your dinner- as they would sate you far much more than just the foods alone.

Have five small servings of food a day bvased around three meals and two snacks, as this would curb the cravings and keep your mtabolism up. Ideally each meal and snack should provide a serve of either fruits or vegetables and serve of protein.

Often the main cause of feeling hungry in vegetarians is a lack of protein, so make sure you have a high quality serving of protein with your snacks, such as almonds, cottage cheese, protein bars, etc, as well as your main meals-tofu, lentils, vege burgers, mock(soy-derived) meats etc.

Last but not least, make sure you aren't experiencing any nutritional deficiencies-I recommend you get a blood test to see whether you are getting adequate amounts of Iron, B vitamins and folate, and if not, start taking supplements.
