Banana rice stew?!

Banana rice stew?

read in Roald Dahl's book Flying Solo how an Indian Burkgha made him a banana rice stew for tea.
doea anyone know how to make this stew, and what u would rate it out of 5 for taste?

I looked up this dish in Julie Sahni's cook book:
Classic Indian Vegetarian and Grain Cooking.

I couldn't find any recipe with this name "banana rice stew" but if there is such a vegan dish, it would probably be in this book, but have a different name.

I have a copy of this book and the recipes are great but complex.

You can probably find the book in a library or buy it on Amazon.com
