I want to become a vegetarian...?!

Question:

I want to become a vegetarian...?

my mom doesnt really want me too.
if i really want to she wouldnt mind.
its just that i feel bad because she makes really good supper, which pretty much always has meat in it.
or is meat.
i like pretty much every kind of meat, i just want to be a vegetarian because every person that i've met or know that is one, is very healthy, and skinny (but not to skinny, healthy skinny), and hardly breaks out at all...
also i dont like thinking about the suffering of the animals.
me and my friend hannah decided to become vegetarians together.
i've had meat every day since then (about a week ago) and so has she!
i feel bad when my mom makes a really good meal, that she knows i love!
and its steak, or has meat in it!
i just cant say no!
she worked so hard on it ya know!?
but... me and hannah decided that we would only be vegetarians at school (for lunch) and at all of our summer camps.
i hope this doesnt sound to shallow.
please give me your opinion and dont be harsh.
thanks.

i'm 14 years old.
also, my mom is having me start making 1 meal a week for the family....
last night she had me make meatloaf muffins which were good.
but maybe i can ask if all the things i make can be vegetarian.
also i'm not doing this to be skinny and have fewer zits.
it may have sounded like that above, but i didnt mean for it to seem that way.
i was making a statement that all vegetarians i know, are healthy.
but i'm doing it mainly because i hate the idea of the animals suffering, and its not right.
thats what i believe.
i dont believe in killing animals, yet...
its a long story and hard to explain...
thanks for your answers though.

I think you need to look at the truly heathy reasons to become a vegetarian. Like, did you know on average, most vegetarians live longer than their meat eating counterparts?

Study nutrition about what you need everyday to be healthy. Focus on getting enough Zinc, Iron, B-12, calcium and magnesium - some vegetarians are lacking these nutrients if not careful. Make sure you're substituting enough protein and not loading up on fatty foods in place of protein.
Eat LOTS of dark green, red, orange and yellow veggies - fresh fruits, Whole grains, organics.

When I became a vegetarian, I thought I would crave meat. It only took about 1 week and I lost all taste for it. I can't even stand to have chicken broth in something - it completely freaks me out. I feel so much better, I am my ideal weight, I hardly get sick anymore and I am healthier than I have ever been.
I love animals, but I'm not opposed to people eating meat. I'm opposed to the industry - this is not how God intended it to be with slaughter houses and sick animals being killed for meat. I was appalled at the list of medications, hormones and additives that are allowed for USDA Grade A meat - I don't want that stuff in my body or my children's. That's why I made my decision.
I do eat seafood. I do eat organic dairy products. I'm just focusing on making the healthiest food choices possible. Try going vegetarian for a few months and see what you think. My sister has been vegetarian for over 15 years and she tried to eat a few bites of meat a while ago - it made her ill. She said she's never had a stomach ache that bad ever - It's incentive enough for me to not go back. I'm doing great!
Best Wishes!
