re bog kis: i think that all minority groups look for like minded people, and people with local info.
are you also anti political groups, book clubs, rugby clubs etc?
why feel threatened by the idea that people like to have access to some similarly biased people who have made the same life choices as them, everyone does it in some way, if only online.

"BIg kidder"
i am a rugby player too, but rugby is obviously a minority sport, as is tennis even in the uk.
I wasnt jibing your very clever moniker, i just mistyped it.
How can one be "agaisnt" a group exisiting, if you do not have to join, it does not make sense.
(to me at least) maybe its the cjd playing with your brain.

What would you say the main sport is in this country?
I am not claiming that rugby isnt one of the more popular minority sports, just that its is not our national sport, and is enjoyed by a minority, including myself.
never thought this question would end up this way. craziness.

Check the veggie soc, they have local groups and maybe able to point to a similar vegan group - they do talk to each other !
I notice you didn't ASK for a "support group" but big kid said you did, and then launched into a childish attack - a bit like a big kid really.
Is he saying joining any group suddenly lessens you. If you like book reading then you are somehow a weaker person if you join a book club...wine tasting clubs are probably the devils own work. Fitness clubs, running clubs, cycling..gosh the list of things we need to insult is never ending !
