Is dye used in clothing vegan friendly?

I was sewing tonight and I thought about it and I got kind of freaked out. Do they use animal byproducts to color thread or clothing? Or what do the industries use these days?

im pretty sure it is, i doubt that there would be much point in using animal products in clothing. i looked it up on the interneat and there was nothing about it so i would assume so.
