Are there any good vegetarian ramens out there?!

Question:

Are there any good vegetarian ramens out there?

I really liked Top Ramen, but it felt really bad eating it, know that there was chicken fat/bone in it. But, I don't like Cup of Noodles. Any suggestions?

Answers:

Top Ramen's oriental flavor should still be vegetarian (vegan, even!) but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I have not been able to find anything from Maruchan that is vegetarian either... the Maruchan oriental flavor is definitely *not* vegetarian anymore (at least, not in the U.S., I know recipes in large companies can vary by country), it had beef stock in it last I checked a few days ago.

If you can't find the Top Ramen flavor I mentioned (or the one another poster mentioned), your next best bet would be to go to an Asian supermarket and look there, but 95% of them have shrimp or other meat in them, too. "Thai" or "spicy" flavors are more likely to be vegetarian though.

Edit: Also, there's a good discussion on vegetarian ramen here: http://www.mattfischer.com/ramen/?p=447...
