Answers:

Before the flood people were vegetarian. After the Flood God gave permission to Noah to eat certain animals, not all of them were considered clean, and edible. Later in the New testament, Paul addresses this by telling people not to argue over what other people were or were not eating. The Vegetarians could eat just that and the people who ate meat should keep theri moths shut about it. My daughter takes this both ways. She is a vegetarian, her step dad and I are not. We do not argue or judge over it, we just support each other's decisions. That is that. I am not goign tot ake the time to give you biblical quotes becaus I do nto have time for that today, but if you do not believe me, you need to read the accoutn of the flood for yourself, and then look up some of Pauls letters to the different Chruches in the New Testament. Or you can go to the NIV site online and type in those things as subjects in the searches and have the computer find the places where it talks about it. But, there is nothing that says that being a meat eater or being a vegetarian is sinful. The Bible does tell us, as Christians that we are free in Christ. Jesus ate meat and fish. But, he never condemned anyone for being a vegetarian. I think if it was that big of a deal God would have made sure we knew it and knew it well.
