Animal-made materials/products?!

Question:

Animal-made materials/products?

Well, I am trying to become a vegan, and I am cleaning out my room. I need to know signs of animal products, how they feel, what products are made out of animals(like leather), and such. Just anything that will help me! Thanks!

You shouldn't be wasteful, it's better to just give your items away rather than throwing them out. [If that's what you were planning on doing.] I just became a vegan about three months ago, and I went through the same process you did. Mainly with stuff I was using though. What you should look out for is down comforters, fleece blankets [unless they are synthetic], wool [sweaters], leather [most is real, even if it seems fake], suede [which is also leather], that would be found in a lot of things. So you just have to pay special attention. It could be in shoes, to bags, to wallets, to belts to jewerly, to leather bound books. As far as I am aware those are basically the things that people have around that are composed of animals. I'm not sure if you've moved onto your toiletries yet. But when the time comes and you decide to stop buying animal tested and products with animal ingredients in them. You should definetly look for a natural store around your area. Most things in the store will say "no animal ingredients, no animal testing". I try to stick with those. Believe it or not I read that listerine animal tests too, idk if you use it, but there are alternatives to that also. Such as tea tree oil mouthwash, or Jasons Mouthwash. If you ever need any help in the future just email me and I'd be glad to help you. Just make it specific in the title that you're not spam, lol. I don't want to delete it by accident.
