Celery- why bother?

Is there any benefit to me eating a few stalks of celery per day? I make sure I get several servings of veggies per day (I am a lacto-vegetarian) and I really enjoy crunchy raw ones. But, I did a little research and it appears that for all it's crunchyness a large stalk of celery is only packing about 1.5 gram of fiber. The rest is water, and I don't think any major vitamins or minerals to speak of. So, is this a good choice for snacking if at the same time I am trying to get all my nutrients?
What other veggies are good raw and sliced into pieces and keep well but also have a good store of fiber and nutrients? I like raw carrots and eat those alot too.
