Hi Kris
Probably the best way to cut out processed food from your diet is to do it gradually. Cut out the worst types first, such as anything that contains trans fats, corn syrup, fast foods etc. Replace sodas with real fruit juice. Eat natural cheeses (cheddar, mozzarella, feta) not the processed type. Eat whole grain products, whole wheat breads, pastas, brown rice etc. Canned beans are a good source of protein (not the ready to eat pork & beans), kidney, garbanzo, lentils etc are inexpensive, quick and easy.

Since I'm not sure exactly what you do eat, if you are vegan, vegetarian or just want to have a diet that contains natural, healthier foods it's hard to suggest a menu.

For breakfast try a bowl of hot oatmeal (not the instant kind), fresh in season fruit and perhaps some yogurt.

For lunch you could have homemade vegetable soup and fresh fruit.

For dinner roasted organic chicken, carrots, potatoes and a green salad with oil & lemon juice.

All of these foods are available at local stores and quite affordable they do require more cooking though.

Good luck!
