Baton Rouge Vegetarian Shopping?!

Question:

Baton Rouge Vegetarian Shopping?

Im in Baton Rouge, La. And I recently gave up meat. I haven't let go seafood yet. I'm doing it for health reasons. Of course after seeing some videos on PETA I wont ever be putting lil piggy in my mouth again.

I don't really have the cash to shop lavishly for food so I'm a dillegent Wal-Mart shopper. I'm willing to give Target a try or any store in the cheap range. I'm making this a life long thing but its going to take steps and a lil advice and help from you guys I hope.

Okay, yesterday made two weeks meat free. I've been really sick and tired tho. And I never feel full. I didnt realize how full you get from meat. I haven't had any seafood yet but if I keep feeling so hungry even after I've eaten I will. I want to know where can I buy the vegie burgers, the fakin it bacon, meat substitutions and so on. I was sooo tired and wore out at the Wal-Mart when I went shopping that maybe I over looked it.

I really really need to know what kind of vitamins to get bc I feel so sick

Answers:

I've been vegetarian w/seafood before; it's not that hard to do and you definitely don't need to spend more. In fact, I spent less as a vegetarian than as a meat eater.

Mostly, you need to start getting your proteins from different sources. Milk, cheese, soy and beans are your best, easiest bets. Try eating a LOT of beans and drinking milk often. Eat low-fat or no-fat cheeses.

Veggie burgers along with a TON of other veggie products are available at Wal-Mart in the frozen foods section. Look for GardenBurgers brands. You can also find them in almost all the supermarkets.

Add protein to your diet and you won't feel so sick and tired - and it doesn't have to be meat protein.

Oh! Something I adore, that may or may not be to your taste, but it's so easy to fix and it's all vegetarian. Drop by World Market outside of the Mall of Louisiana and go back to their food section. They have a bunch of indian food in packets in a brand called Tasty Bites. All the meals are vegetarian and most of them are healthy. They have a nice balance of protein and carbs. They cost about as a much as a frozen dinner from Wal-Mart, but taste a lot better. Also, you don't have to freeze them, just heat and eat.

Let me know how you're doing!
