Going (lacto-ovo) veggie, don't want to lose weight...?!

Question:

Going (lacto-ovo) veggie, don't want to lose weight...?

I've always disagreed with meat eating for moral reasons, but I was such a picky eater growing up & hated all veggies that I couldn't be a vegetarian. Although I like chicken and cheese from time to time or eggs for protein, I don't like much else from animals.
Now I'm 19, almost 20, 5'5 and 108. I'm finally starting to like most veggies, I'm fairly active and I KNOW I shouldn't lose weight. How can I ensure that when making this vegetarian switch I consume enough protein and eat enough overall to avoid losing weight and to be properly fueled for running? Also I HATE nuts/seeds, I can't stand them. Other than those, I'm open to trying new things. I've had soymilk before and I had Morningstar veggie beef crumbles mixed in with my dinner today and thought they tasted great. So any advice?

oh, I forgot to mention that although I have cheese (and ice cream) sometimes, I'm mildly lactose intolerant. Milk is what really bothers me, so I'll drink soymilk when my roomies buy some.

Ok I'm not a veggie, but I think I can help about the not wanting to lose weight part...

Go to your doctor and tell him/her your concern. They can proscribe or recommend protein/calorie shake thingies. Theyre like protein shakes at the health food store, but they have extra calories in them so that you won't lose weight.

They taste like CRAP so add Ice Cream (soy versions work too) and you're good to go. That's what I do lol. I'm 5'8" and have never been over 100 lbs, I just have a wicked metabolism going on and every once in a while it threatens to kill me.

Your body will always go back to your equillibrium weight once it sorts out a diet change so you don't have anything to worry about really if you just keep eating the same amount of calories and a multi-vitamine every morning you'll stay healthy.

*cheers*
