Is catelli spaghetti vegan?!

Question:

Is catelli spaghetti vegan?

it's a spaghetti brand from canada.
the ingrediants are durum wheat semolina, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, niacin, folic adic, ferrous sulphate.

Answers:

As a former chef and being form Canada also, all dried pasta here is eggless unless specified, because of the rules Health Canada have put forth for truth in lablelling act.

Most pasta is just semolina flour and water, then extruded into the shape and heat dried, the nutrients listed are the ones added to the flour during the flour milling process and do not contain any dairy or egg product, here we have to label all foods were allergies could be a problem.

So you can use it in all vegan dishes for you and your family safely and it is a good source of protein and carbs, but do follow the serving sugesstions, 1 oz of dried with cook to about 3 oz of weighted cooked pasta.
