Avocadoes for weight loss?

Has anybody tried eating avocadoes for weight loss?
I know they have lots of calories and fat, but they have almost no net carbs. For low-carb diets, they would seem to be pretty good, with lots of fiber, protein and unsaturated fats.And there are lots of ways you can use them -- by themselves, or combined with other healthful veggies in guacamole or salads.


Answers:

If you want a low cal-low-fat-veggie based diet. You do still need "fats" the Avocados are a good tasty way to get it. Caution in quaintly just as with nuts, seeds, oils. Fat is fat to your body, it's just that when on the animal free diet we are so low to start with.
Since I use almost no aminal fat I do use avocado just as you described.
