Do you know that most cheeses aren't vegetarian?
Introduction
Cheese is made by coagulating milk to give curds which are then separated from the liquid, whey, after which they can be processed and matured to produce a wide variety of cheeses. Milk is coagulated by the addition of rennet. The active ingredient of rennet is the enzyme, chymosin (also known as rennin). The usual source of rennet is the stomach of slaughtered newly-born calves. Vegetarian cheeses are manufactured using rennet from either fungal or bacterial sources. Advances in genetic engineering processes means they may now also be made using chymosin produced by genetically altered micro-organisms. From http://www.vegsoc.org/info/cheese.html...

I don't think most of you get the point why the cheese is not vegetarian. its not vegan thats for sure. Vegetarian means the animal doesn't die in order to produce it thats why milk is okay so is eggs. some cheeses aren't okay because as it said its slaughters a baby cow (veal) in order to make it. thats why its not vegetarian.

Yes...most educated vegetarians know this. There are plenty of cheeses made with vegetable rennet though and easy to find.
