Ideas for sauce. I'm making long grain and wild rice and adding some chopped mushrooms, celery, and onions.

Can you you please give me some ideas for a tasty sauce to serve with this? Just some quick flavor ideas will work, I don't need a bunch of links or anything I just need help picking a flavor.

I put this in v&v because I don't want any meat or meat products added to the dish.

I like sauces on just about everything I eat. I'm not seeking agreement or approval for what I eat.

Sorry if I sound grouchy I really do appreciate the help and I'm not being mean just honest.


Answers:

I'd probably do a sage and rosemary gravy using some fake chicken or vegetable broth with a little cornstarch or flour to thicken it.

That, or I'd do a parmesan flavoured cream sauce using broth and milk and a little parmesan, then thickened up, with a lot of ground black pepper.
