Do vegans take multi-vitamins?!

Question:

Do vegans take multi-vitamins?

Being the vegan friendly guy you all know me as, I just wanted to mention that there's gelatin in mine so you might want to check your's out.

Some of you probably knew. Some didn't but will claim to have known it. I only mention it because I haven't seen it discussed here personally. Bye now.

Answers: I take a vegetarian multiple. No gelatin, no milk byproducts, no nutrients from animal sources. I have seen people here recommend Centrum to vegetarians, but I'd be willing to bet it has gelatin since most of the mainstream brands do. thanks a lot.I will look for that now There are quite a few vitamins that do not contain gelatin, and are veg*n friendly. I'm sure many unaware veg*n will appreciate you pointing that out. Like I have time to check for "gelatin" in my damn multi-vit capsules. Oh yes, Vegan Vits are terrific. Their absorbability is usually way below that of other multi-vits, and cost 2-3 x's what the genuine article does... but by god, the capusule is "vegan gelatin"!!! That's simply brill!! Obviously someone isn't vegan if they don't know that vitamins have gelatin and other sh*t in them. Maybe thats why they sell vegan multivitamins...........for "vegans".

Gee, doesn't that tell you that "vegans" aren't the only people that take them? I'm a vegan and know that gelatin is non-vegan and that most vitamins not labeled vegan contain gelatin. I buy vegan vitamins from Wholefoods I have no problem finding vegan multivitamins. There are even one-a-day vegan multivitamins.

But thanks for the heads-up for those who may not know. I've been vegan since conception, and I've never had to take a vitamin of any kind.

Thanks for the heads-up, though!
