Do vegetarians have a mental illness...?!
Do vegetarians have a mental illness...?
i.e. the fact they don't eat and love meat!
Answers: Probably.
I myself only eat baby panda liver poached in lemur blood. What an absurd conclusion Nope. People that post things like you do usually are the ones with emotional problems. I mean why else would you insult others unless you really are unhappy with yourself. each to thier own........facist! oh dear... To paraphrase gary cole - What the f.uck you talkin about Willis? I've got a mental illness, and I like sausages. Hmm so anyone who's different from you, is mad? That's a little bit ignorant isn't it! They may have certain beliefs but don't know if this is the precise way of saying it. I love meat but only when its still walking around happy in a field,
I dont eat red meat as i dont like the taste of it
I do eat free range chicken tho
Does this mean I have half a mental illness? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha funny man. so funny. but seriously i guess they fell sorry 4 da animals dunno y tho. i mean eating plants is still killing something which they r against.a plant livs. lol. i would say vegetarians are more balanced than meat eaters.
they don't fill up on
hormones
bulk-building steroids
fats
or can stomach the abuse of animals for the sake of the food chain.
veggies are healthier & will live longer, too! What a very silly question. I don't suppose you have ever heard of Buddha et al.? i am a non vegetarian my self . no vegetarians do not have a mental illness because it is to them they want to eat non veg or not . most of the people do not eat non veg due to their religious believes or they think that killing of animals is not good. Not necessarily, but there's always the chance that some vegetarians, and greater likelihood for vegans, that vital food is being missed out of the diet.
I don't believe that animal welfare is sufficient justification for abstaining from meat and other animal products, and would therefore have to say that those who go veggie on this premise alone may have a screw loose! Hello Gangster,
Of course they do not have a mental illness. It is their preference whether to eat meat or dairy products or not.
I am not a vegetarian or vegan but I certainly recognise anyones right to eat or not eat meat and would never consider them mentally impaired because they decided not to eat meat for whatever reason.
On the other side of the coin, if vegetartians are considered to have a mental illness because they refuse to eat meat, we meat eaters could equally be considered to have a similar problem because we choose to eat meat products.
Poseidon I used to love meat. most veggies dont eat meat because of moral reasons. Not because we don't like it. It was one of the hardest things i've ever done, my body was craving meat for about a year, but i just could not have it on my conscience. I dont' miss it at all now!
If having high principals and actually being strong enough to stop doing something you like (instead of taking the easy option and letting someone else worry about it) means i have a mental illness.. than i'd rather not be mentally sound thanks. well they will be a very heathly mentally ill person as the vegetarian diet is the healthiest in the world and those people who eat and love meat will be dead from cholestral issues and other meat born illness!! Nope. It's just that omnivores are more likely to survive in extreme circumstances. Your mental health, however is more in question. Certainly your tolerance is lacking. YOU PIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... i must say some vegans [not all] come off a little pushy [alot like a reformed smoker] but some of their foods are quite Delicious and when balanced with a good piece of meat [deer beef bear pig goat lamb] makes for quite a meal. are they mentally ill as a group? no that's even more absurd than the group peta. I'm vegetarian and I work in mental health. No, vegetarianism is not a mental illness. My wife is a Dietitian working for a state mental hospital, and she's vegetarian too. I have heard of some psychotic people having bizarre ideas about food (like a guy who said he had to eat red, white and blue food) and some girls with eating disorders who say they are vegetarian in an attempt to cover it up. Sorry it's not a very funny answer, but I have some experience in this area and I'm telling the truth.
Now, find somebody who says yes and give them best answer. That's what you were going to do anyway. I don't think meat is an issue. I don't think vegetarians have a mental illness per se. I do, however, feel that most vegans exhibit signs of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It's a matter of personal choice. I appreciate that the 'Nanny State' is growing in the UK, but some people still believe in and exercise the right to choose.
When my daughters went vegetarian, their paternal Grandmother said to me, 'Never mind, they'll get over it,' as though it were measles. yes... it's called love of life. wanting to extend it by watching what they eat.... respecting other life in animals... and seeing the beauty in diversity of the animal kingdom. Well, they don't have a brain, thats for sure!
Converstaion with vegaterine (V) and me (M)
V: I don't eat meat
M: Why?
V: Killing them is cruel
M: Is it cruel for a shark to eat a fish?
V: No, because they need to to surive
M: We need meat to be healthy
V: Its not the same
M: Do you have leather seat in your car? Or on your shoe?
V: Yea, everyone does
M: Killing them is cruel
V: But you're not eating them
M: Do you eat fish?
V: Yes
M: Thats meat
V: Its different
M: Killing them is cruel. Do you eat cakes?
V: Yea, cakes are n-i-c-e
M: Eggs are used in cakes
V: So?
M: So eatting a cake is like killing to chicks that weren't born
V: Its not the same.
See? V can't explain to me (M) why they eat fish, but not mammals and have leather seats in their car, and eat eggs.
Vegans are different, but they are really unhealthy. Vegans don't have anything to do with animals, so its different from 'I eat eggs and fish, but not meat' I do think that they are not, on the whole, as emotionally unstable and fragile as vegans. It is not all about whether or not they like or dislike meat. No more than any other person on the planet Just because you don't agree doesn't mean it's wrong idiot. no, i think you'd have to have one to be eating it. shall i tell you why????? animals are pumped full of steroids and antibiotics to raise them into big fattened things to kill....then when they are slaughtered imagine their fear. this causes the release of adrenaline which is pumped into their blood stream and which you eat , along with the antibiotics and steroids.....soon as death occurs the tissues decompose at a cellular level...you are noshing on decaying flesh..full of chemicals , steroid and antibiotics......a belly like an animals graveyard.......YUKKY.....do you still think i'm mental now???? x Vegetarianism is not a mental illness, but closed mindedness and intolerance certainly comes close. The more insecure one is in themselves, the more likely they are to bash other people for the choices that are right for them.
