Any other Food controlled diabetics that are vegetarian?
Can you give me a sample of what you have for breakfast, lunch and dinner considering breads, fruits and some vegetables produce sugars.
Answers: I am not only a type 2 diabetic but a former professional chef from Canada, it is best for a diabetic to met with a dietician and map out a caloric intake for each person, I am on a 1400 calorie one myself.
And you are correct there are fruits, vegetable and other food with either natural, added or hidden sugars. I eat alot of chickpeas and vegetables, legumes as they do not raise your gluciside levels. It is best to eat a structured diet, with grains, legemes, pulses, veg, fruit, whole grain breads and plenty of water.
I eat a decent breakfast, a small lunch, have a snack in the afternoon a light dinner and a small snack at night. I am on oral medication but it is basically the same for insulin dependant diabetic, except they have to restrict there sugar intake extensively, just make sure you must be sure it is right for your condition. I don't know about foods, but my uncle was an insulin diabetic. He started taking Cinnamon pills, you can get them on the vitamin aisle at most Walmarts and drug stores. He completely got off his insulin. So maybe it will help with your blood sugar also.
