I know theres animal blood, pus, antibiotics, hormones and other things in my milk...

And I know Organic milk isn't going to help because it still supports animal abuse.

I Absolutely LOVE Yogurt, And I can't live without it. ;[

I need help, Majorly...

Do you wonderful people know any brands/stores that may sell VEGAN:

yogurt
milk
cheese

Answers: There are all kinds of great vegan versions of these items! Most of them you will find in a health food store (Whole Foods, Trader Joes ) but some may be found at traditional stores as well.

Yogurt - I hated cow milk yogurt but I love Silk's and Whole Soy's soy yogurt.

Milk: I drink Silk soymilk but there are so many options out there. Almond Breeze, Rice Dream, and Living Harvest hempmilk are great alternatives if you want to try something without soy.

Cheese: My favorite cheese is Tofutti American cheese slices - they are fabulous on grilled cheese and veggie burgers other vegan cheeses are okay but better in moderation - I rarely eat soy cheese - I use avocado in its place on sandwiches and salads to get the extra fat and calories in a more natural food.

Cream cheese: Tofutti makes a great cream cheese - again it is something to eat in moderation but it does make an amazing cream cheese frosting for carrot cake...mmmm.. I know Rice Dream makes a rice based cream cheese but I have not tried it.

Sour cream: Again it is Tofutti - delicious on baked potatoes!

Ice cream: My personal favorite is Whole Soy frozen yogurt but it can be hard to find. So Delicious is good too and offer a huge variety of flavors and is easy to find.

I hope this helps! Glad to hear you are trying to go vegan! Rice and Soy alternatives. Somethings you'll just have to say no to, its all part of self denial right? you can find soy milk and other soy products that are sold in the majority of the stores. You can look in the organic section and in the dairy sections to find these products.
You can get this stuff at most grocery stores, I know HEB and Kroger have a great supply. Vegan-adapted products are available in health food stores and stores like Whole Foods. Soy milk is readily available in the common grocery.

Even some soy cheeses still have whey in them. look at the ingredient labels

Sorbets are just frozen fruit ices. no animal there.

Products like hummus or similar can be used as dip or spread instead of cheese.

My problem with this is the same as the recovering alcoholic who still drinks "near beer", or the TSP product for one who wants to give up meat. Once you make the decision to give up something (like dairy), I don't think you would want to get anything that resembles it. For yogurt: Whole Soy & Company--it's at Whole Foods and natural foods stores. It's certified vegan. In a pinch, Silk also makes a soy yogurt. Don't get the Stonyfield Farms O'Soy, as it's not vegan.

Soy milk, rice milk, nut milk--most grocery stores carry at least the tetra packs. Experiment to find a brand that's right for you. Whole Foods has a store brand that I get because it's less expensive. There are too many brands to mention.

Cheese--Follow Your Heart Cheese is at most natural foods stores and in Whole Foods. Scheese, a European vegan cheese, is avaialble at Pangea (www.veganstore.com)

Road's End makes packets of mixes for cheesey sauces called Chreese. You can get them at Pangea as well.

Cream cheese and sour cream--Tofutti.

Ice cream--I'm a fan of Purely Decadent. So Delicious is pretty good. Tofutti makes vegan soy ice creams. There's also Soy Dream and Rice Dream. There's also Temptation. Soy Delicious also has soy ice cream bars and sandwiches.

Good luck! I want to congratulate you on your decision to go vegan! :) I became vegan last month after 13 years of vegetarian living, so I know the period of adjustment quite intimately. :P

There are many vegan stores out there that sell items such as these, both on the web and in local communities. Thankfully, there has been a major push towards healthier eating over the past 10-15 years, so the as the health food sections of normal grocery stores (Safeway, Bel Air, Raley's, etc.) grow, so do the vegan options.

First and foremost, though, you probably ought to search out any farmer's markets in your area and any co-operative efforts. Many cities have a natural foods co-operative that offer vegetarian and vegan foods.

Additionally, here is a site that helps you to identify vegan choices in your local grocery store: http://www.peta.org/accidentallyvegan/ve...

This additive list really helped me along the way, too:

I hope this helps you! Well technically, all of the things you listed CAN'T be vegan, because they're all animal products. There's one type of milk you should check out: Ronnybrook Farms. Its really expensive, but its a very small family business, and they don't even have the facilities to promote abuse of their cows. Trust me, this milk is like drinking a bit of Jesus, there's no way it doesn't come from happy cows. But Whole Foods is the store you want. They have everything vegan you can imagine and its all delicious. You won't have any problems with the brands you want to find at all there. I can give you the majority of the list in a very simple answer: soy.
It may take a little time to get used to but nowadays companies can make soy-almost anything.
Turtle Mountain has non-dairy soy ice cream.
www.theveggietable.com/recipes... - has a recipe for vegan sour cream.

And for your yogurt fetish?
I believe silk (which also makes soymilk) has a soy yogurt.
You can purchase or make soy butter.

There are plenty of resources for finding these and though it may take a short time to get use to the difference in taste, it will help your transition to veganism.
By the way, soy milk comes in many different flavors (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coconut, etc)! Whole Foods
Central Market
^Great vegan options. got a trader joe's near you? you can find the yogurt, "milk", cream cheese, and sour cream i'm going to mention in their store.

yogurt: tj's sells vegan soy yogurt there for 99 cents/container. i was actually very surprised at how it tasted :) just like the real thing!

milk subs: try soy, rice, or almond milks. imo, cereal is best with rice milk, but i prefer the taste of soymilk over all 3. experiment with different ones as each brand tastes different. again, if you have a trader joe's, they have a decent selection of milk subs... and cheaper than at any other store.

cheese subs: vegan gourmet makes an awesome nacho flavor that's good as mac n' cheese. even my omnivore friend thought it was good... and she's very critical about food in general. this is a very good cheese sub that's good with nachos or on tacos: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=7057...
only other cheese sub i've tried is the vegan rice slices, which are decent but not great...

cream cheese: hands down, tofutti makes the best cream cheese sub.

sour cream: again, tofutti's is very good. i can enjoy my chili with sour cream like i used to in my meat-eating days :)

ice cream: yum... my favorite one is the organic rice divine mudd pie from this company http://www.goodkarmafoods.com/.... soy delicious is just alright to me... it tastes funny. their ice cream sandwiches aren't bad, though. and again, if you have a trader joe's near you, they sell double rainbow's brand of vegan ice cream called "soy dream". they only sell 2 flavors: mango/vanilla and very cherry chip. both are DELICIOUS!

the key is to experiment. hit up your local health food store (whole foods, wild oats) and find which products suit your taste buds.

best wishes! :) The point of veganism is not to eat meat without the meat, or dairy without the dairy, but to wean people from craving meat and dairy in the first place. (Although it's much better for everyone involved if you eat the vegan varieties if you absolutely have to eat these things.)

don't know if you have one, but I know Whole Foods has dairy-free ice cream.

Wal-Mart has soymilk i don't know, just live without it man
it's going to be fake anyways
just eat soy milk and soy icecream Indeed-Alpro make soya yogurts, soya puddings and cream,Redwoods do vegan cheese, slices and melting varieties,Tofutti do soft cheese, icecream, lollies etc,and swedish Glace make the fabbest icecream !
Enjoy,yum-yum ! x Kroger and Meijer sell soy and rice based, milk , yogurt, cheese and ice cream.

Try diamond organics (diamondorganics.com) for really good soy yogurt. also buy an issue of Veg News...lots of good resources on products.
