Can you lose weight being a vegan?!

Question:

Can you lose weight being a vegan?

i will also workout and do yoga

Answers: It depends more on what you DO eat than what you Don't eat, but yeah, if you're cutting out meat, dairy, eggs.. I'd say you'll lose weight, as all those things are fattening..

DOn't eat alot of white breads and pasta, eat alot of salads, fruits, veggies, ...

You'll lose weight.. Sure depending on how you cook your veggies.
Make sure you add the beans or lentils for protein. Of course. You just need to burn more calories then you eat. I suggest www.sparkpeople.com, it's a free site that lets you track foods, and tells you how much you should be eating and how much you should be working out to meet your goal. Yeah my friend lost 15 pounds in 3 months while becoming a vegetarian. I actually gained weight the times I went vegan, since I tend to drink a lot more soymilk, eat more pasta, beans and lentils and eat less protein and fat. I also loved to try out new vegan foods, which doesn't help much, haha.

When I was a meat eater, I was at my biggest, but my thinnest was as a pescetarian. You can lose weight on any diet - it's just a matter of keeping track of your calories in versus calories expended. i think you are more likely to lose weight long term being a vegan than with any other diet--if it's a permanent lifestyle choice, anyway. if you go back to meat, eggs, etc, you'll just gain it all back. it's kind of the problem with the Atkins diet--nobody can ever stick to it. but see, Atkins is unhealthy and would eventually destroy your body, while veganism, done right, will improve your body. i'm sure you will, as long as you don't eat alot of fat and sugar

i lost 98 percent of body fat being a vegan Try This, It Helps Everyone:

, If you workout and eat healthy then you can lose weight, no matter what your diet vegetarian, vegan, meat eater, if you eat crap/junk food, you will most likely not lose weight. As long as you eat healthy and stay away from bad foods you can hope to gain a healthy BMI, being vegan might help out more with this process since meat and dairy products contain sat fat and cholestrol.
