Vegan Tips????!

Question:

Vegan Tips????

I'm 13 and have just recently became a vegan for 30 days since this past Thursday. I have done pretty good so far. I think I might also be a vegan for good. Are there any tips on what foods are good to eat, etc.?

Answers: Hello! [: I'm fourteen, And I'm on my Fourth month of Vegetarianism. I'm going Vegan in a few weeks.

I'm still getting used to everything.

kay, so to the basics!

You need your vitamins, Or you'll become very sick and eventually die... >_>
But let's be positive. [:

you need
Vitamin B12
Iron
Protein
Vitamin C
Vitamin D
Calcium

Some of these will be tricky.

Iron, which is found mostly in red meats
Can be found in Spinach, Broccoli, Lettuce, Collard Greens, Cabbage, and other leafy green veggies.

Protein: Found in most animals

this can be found in Soy Protein.
Like
Veggie burgers, And Tofu!
I love et. [:
Protein can also be found in Peanuts, Cashews, Almonds, Sunflower seeds, And things of that sort.

B12 -
I take a supplement. It's easier.
It is said to be found in soy products, as well.

Calcium : You can take a supplement for that

Vitamin C : Citrus!
Oranges, Lemons, And other Tropical fruits. [:

I'm taking a supplement for D.

[:

you can try Centrum,
But I'm sure there are more supplements on the market.

I hope this has helped! [:

Good luck with started your journey to Veganism. I hope it really is for good!

Peace and Love <3 If you don't grow your own veges using vegan friendly fertilizer you aren't a vegan. If you ride/use a vehicle that uses lubricants, transmission or brake fluids, antifreeze, paint or rubber tires, you aren't a vegan.

If you can do those things you should be home free! Congratulations!!! After becoming Vegan, I really learned how to cook, how to make food really tasty. Here is a good website you can try, they have some great tips there.

All vegetables and fruit are good for you. As a rule of thumb, the more colorful the vegetable, the more vitamins and minerals (spinach, kale, a sweet potato is much better for you than a regular potato, etc...). Avocados and nuts will bring you the fat you need but they need to be eaten in moderation. Don't forget the lentils and beans and tofu for proteins.
It's best to eat what is fresh, in season and organic. Good luck and best wishes to you :-) I love burritos!

Tortillas, salsa, guacamole, beans, rice, jalapenos... yum.

Remember, veganism isn't just about cutting animal products from your diet, it's about replacing those products with healthier, plant-based alternatives. It also includes not wearing leather, fur, wool, buying products from companies that conduct non-required animal toxicity tests (most do) or frequenting zoos, circuses, races, and other places where animals are held in captivity or forced to perform.

You won't need a vitamin or any sort of supplement if you do it right. I've been vegan since conception and have never needed anything.

Congratulations on decision to protect your health and the animals!
