No Jenn, I'm not kidding. Could you please be mature? No, vegetable do not feel pain. In order to feel pain one must have a central nervous system. This is what allows people and animals to feel pain.

Pain receptors send signals to the brain, plants have neither of these and therefore cannot feel pain. Pain is an evolutionary trait that allows something to react to pain, thus avoiding it and moving away. Plants are rooted into the earth, it would serve no purpose for plants to feel pain, as they cannot move to get away. yes you are a murder babe only if they are still breathing no they don't r u kidding Ask them!!!!!!!!!!!! No central nervous system. No chance of feeling anything. Nope, they have no brain or central nervous system. Yes. Just like the cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, geese, dogs, cats and all other animals the others eat.

Best not to eat anything at all, eh? Can't eat anything with a face.... too hard to look into the eyes and then turn around and feed your family with the dead carcass. Can't eat the veggies.... too hard to listen to the screams when you yank them out of the ground.

Please. Be real, will ya? Either be a vegetarian, or don't. Eat meat, or don't. Just don't ask stupid questions and set yourself up for attacks. I think you have to be human or a animal to feel pain. Vegetables are to be eaten, not treated like humans. Come on use your common sense.....LRMM no no central nervous system no paain, but i still think its horrbile to hurt plantsa just for the sake of it No they don't at least I don't think so ...look it up google it! probably not without a nervous system to feel it, but we don't know everything about the world. I think that's just something meat eaters say to make themselves feel better. There is no evidence that it is true.

The 60s TV show "Lost In Space" had an episode called "The Great Vegetable Rebellion" where there was a planet in which fruit screamed when you pulled it of the tree. There was a guy dressed in a carrot costume who was trying to get revenge against the Earth people. There was a man's face sticking out of the carrot--it was pretty goofy--like one of those talking trees from the "Wizard Of Oz." Plants have neither brains nor nervous systems, therefore they cannot feel pain.

Why would a plant need to feel pain? Pain is not just something that exists to allow suffering. Pain is a signal that our body sends to our brains that tells us that we are in contact with something that is harmful. When something is damaging tissue that is part of our bodies, we feel pain and we remove ourselves from the source and/or run away.

Plants cannot move. If they felt pain, it would be useless to them. If they felt pain, they would not be aware of it because they are not conscious and they also lack a conscience. no, its just the meat eaters on here being silly Of course they feel pain, but they can't display it because they lack muscles, they scream in silence as you dismember them painfully. And they bleed too.
