Deep down, don't you ever really, really want a bacon sandwich?!

Question:

Deep down, don't you ever really, really want a bacon sandwich?

Don't you miss that lovely crispy bacon melting on your tongue, and the heavenly smell of those juices, just perfect for dipping your bread into?

Answers: The only meat I want to wrap my mouth around is your lovely tail, Grottykins! sometimes :( yeah please apparently bacon is the most comon smell of meat that turns vegies into meat eater again....................

Been veggie now for 11yrs and bacon does get me at it but not yet caved in lol............. No... not me.

Thanks! yes but it is fattening. add lettuce and tomatoe, yum. That's very cruel..trying to tempt saintly Vegans into a life of crime.....well done.

Bacon...as good as meat gets! always - the best meat on the planet whenever i crave a bacon sandwich, i use tempeh slices called fakin' bacon in place of the B in BLT.

just as good, and it satisfies my belly :) I can't understand how anyone can go on without meat for a long time, I LOVE meat I don't really miss bacon because I still eat it occasionally. However, when I was in college, I would not have hesitated eating a sandwich like The Baconator from Wendy's. Six slices of bacon would have been just enough.

Of course, here I am 10 years later, and my cholesterol is borderline high. Damn bacon. Even before I was a vegan I never really liked beef, so no. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since I'm not a vegetarian by choice, but because of unfortunate medical condition, YES, I DO, all the time! I used to eat a lot of meat and I miss it badly! not bacon but a bag of scratching aways does I must admit I never even looked at the catagory that this was under!
So my answer is no, I have a crisp bacon sandwhich along with brown sauce when ever I fancy it.
What could be better??
What about the llittle piggies??
If the crackling is done right they are OK , Hope this helps?? Nope. It smells good, but I don't enjoy eating it. Plus there have been heart attacks on both sides of my family. I have it whenever I want it lol
had it for tea last night heaven!!! No. The smell of a sentient creatures flesh searing in a kitchen is not even remotely appetizing, much less so wonderful that it would make me give up deeply held moral beliefs. That is just ridiculous. I find the smell of a nonsapient creature cooking in the kitchen to be quite appealing.

Hold the mayo and Tomato, please.

and to the person who said they didn't like beef before becoming vegitarian...
um...
Bacon is Pig meat, not Cow. I can't believe you would ask such a question!!! I Would NEVER, EVER be tempted into eating a bacon sandwich
The only way I would ever eat bacon is if it was wrapped around a nice Filet Mignon... It's gets the better of me every time, I love a bacon sandwich. I must admit I could not be a vegetarian (unless it was on medical grounds) I love meat, totally carnivorous. nope because when ever i smell it just reminds me of the animal behind it...turns me right off!! Boca Bacon!

I'm SO lovin that soy grease... you don't even know! The only bacon worth eating is Irish bacon. That crap they have in the states shoudnt even be called bacon but fat with a streak of something on it. Sorry about the rant... I'm better now.

I will occasionally have the odd bacon buttie or BLT, I figure that i'm still doing myself and the planet some good and we both get what we want. no thanks.. i don't want the cholesterol.. triglycerides.. fatness.. the burning sensation in my stomach.. the GERD... the constipation.. the crapstastic way it's always cooked... sorry i cook bacon the best... you should really try my candied bacons.. it just doesn't stay around always gone before i service it... (yeh... that bugs you eh? a vegetarian / vegan type... cooking for meat eaters.. really messes up your 'ethic' of trolling don't it?) yes i know how to cook meat...

i also grill and serve beer.. wine.. ya know all that MEATY stuff...

bread (most of it) is not vegan.

read up about this.. and besides what you're doing isn't about veganism... what veganism is.... IS this...

the proceedures of animal treatment... not the way it's eaten.

this also applies to most processed foods... angry meat is crap meat... i found this out as a kid... once i left the farm.. i found most meat out there was tough.. crappy.. marblized with much fat and was a pale comparision to the meat i grew up on... it also gave me indigestion... all that chemistry applied to the animals to make the 'super meat' and 'super dairy' has it's effects in the long term.

this also goes with most vegetables.. and synthetic nutrients.. wonder why we are fat? it's not the basics itself it's the crap companies put into their foods... our bodies just can't absorb that garbage... it builds up into the system...

besides a happy steer and a happy cow will make better food..... than one that's beaten s.hit.less all the time and pumped full of hormones to make them fatter, meatier... all that crap.

but there's not much we can do... it's all in the mighty $$$$... so instead of me suffering every time i ate any meat, dairy.. ... processed element... frozen or canned... prepackaged.. i gave up and said the hell with it.. and went as fresh produce as i can.... i sleep well.. no more sinus issues.. no more belly sticking out and feeling like hell all the time.. no more gerd.. no more blood in my phlegm... no more hypertension to the point i have to take a dozen drugs to control it... no more acid indigestion... no more zits.. headaches...

i obviously had trouble with the chemicals and or the proteins and fats of most animal product.

simply put...

a vegan doesn't mind you eating meat.. they just don't like the way things have gone over the years..... so much mass production.. it's not just no good for the animals... come on if i were a steer.. i want my nuts cut off while under a painkiller.... (no way you gunna cut my nads off.... unless i'm drugged happily...) and i don't want my a.s.s beaten senseless because i'm too god damned fat to move on my legs.... i mean it wasn't my fault... the producers of the product are doing that....

i'm sure after all that treatment i would not be as delicious and bountious as a happy meat producer.

simple as that.

read up more about what veganism is about... you've been either not reading or caring or you're listening to... one too many ignorant idiots who just become vegan... and preach louder than they practice....

that happens though with not just veganism but with religion.. politics.. teaching....

the conversation could go on and on and on.. but i'll stop here....

and grill up some steaks for the lass when she gets back... we've been married for ages.. and i haven't preached to her.... she wants meat.. she can have it.. fine with me....

i make her eat her vegetables... or it's no beer for her!

besides.. eat right.. exercise and you'll make someone happier. not just yourself of course...

and you're not going to read this.. because you're not here to learn and listen.... just to troll.. i know i wasted my time.. but that's not my point... i expressed my view... and also...

don't listen to all the fruitcakes... just because they claim they're vegan doesn't mean that they are... vegans don't talk like that... they quietly choose....

you want meat.. fine.. i don't see what the issues are... you want bacon.. fine.. eat it.. more for you.. right? you should be happy for vegans.. they just veggies and fruits.....

so they leave the bacon behind.. so you can have more to eat...

sheesh.... don't look a gift horse in the mouth.... nor eat it without some gratitude.

sorry for the typos.. yahoo sucks and i'm too lazy. Of course it would tempt me...I eat meat. I love juicy fatty bacon...it just hits the spot. Well, the thing is I've been vegetarian ever since i was a few months old so i can't really miss something I've never had, can I?
Sometimes I catch the smell of something meaty on a barbecue and it smells delicious, but I would never eat it.
I believe it's wrong to eat meat but that's only my opinion and i wouldn't force it on anyone. No, in fact I never think about eating meat at all. If I should happen to be reminded of eating meat, like when I come to this forum, ironically, the whole idea makes me feel ill. I have plenty of food to enjoy! I was in a restaurant in Portland, Oregon this summer and I had the most delicious BLT I've ever had. Real think slices of smokey bacon with pepper coating. The waitress told me that bacon was responsible for making three people she knew stop being vegetarians... Surprisingly, I never cared for bacon. So many people I talk to say that bacon was the most difficult thing for them to give up after going veg, but it was never a food I really liked, so I never missed it.
