Any vegans notice a skin color change since becoming vegan?!

Question:

Any vegans notice a skin color change since becoming vegan?

I am wondering if I am just seeing things or if my skin is really changing color. I think that my skin has kind of a bronze tinge to it since I have become vegan. I have been eating vegan for a few months now.

The other explanation could be that I am paler since being vegan and my suntan has a slightly different color to it.

Just so you know, I have been making sure to have some raw green veggies everyday, such as spinach, romaine lettuce, broccoli, etc.

Does this sound accurate?

Hey I am not worried about this, I just noticed a difference. I wanted to see if any other vegans notice a difference.

I have a very healthy diet. I don't think that the change in skin color is a bad thing, I am just making sure that it's not just my imagination.

I have a very healthy diet. I don't think that the change in skin color is a bad thing, I am just making sure that it's not just my imagination. I'm mexican and I've always been light skinned for being mexican. My skin actually became more evenly toned after becoming vegan.I also don't get as sunburnt as I used too.Like someone else said, make sure you get your omega 3's(try flax seed oil). Source(s):
Conscientious vegan Well that's what happens when you stop eating meat. If you want to look normal again... eat a freakin steak!!! Ive found my skin has gotten better and holds tan longer, im pretty sure now that i think about it that ive become less pale.

Ive been eating plenty of seeds and nuts for the omega 3,6 in them though. I'm 12 and a vegan, and I' ve gotten darker! ^^ Not bad dark, like I have a more tanned colour and rosier cheeks. Then again, I'm younger than you and a girl, so that may make a difference. ^^ Well, it's possible that you're consuming large amounts of beta carotene (which is present in all green vegetables, not just carrots) and it's changing the color of your skin. Don't worry, it's harmless and temporary. unsure.. since you are eating healthier... i wouldn't know..

i've become darker... i used to be a paleface when i was a meat eater.. then i went vegan.... tan and glowing.

it depends...

make sure you fruits and veggies are fresh to say the least...

you're not protein deficient.. all it takes is a handful of beans, seeds or nuts and you've got a huge allowance of protein.

many fruits have proteins also and quite a few vegetables.. so that's not the issue so don't worry.

skin does change.. mostly to a darker, more fuller and glowing appearance.

maybe you're not getting enough sunlight.. but you only need a half hour a day (just walking in it..) indirect of course.

are you hydrating properly? remember your arteries are your plumbing system... :D I knew this vegetarian guy. His skin was always glowing. Raw foodists are always talking about some glow. If you eat a lot of oranges veggies like sweet potatoes and carrots your skin can turn orange from all of the beta carotene.
