Ever wonder why Burger King or Wendy's don't add Veggie Burgers to their menu cooked with a veggie oil,for those that don't care for meat ?

Answers: lol...Always cracks me up when I see someone go into Micky D's and..."I'll have the tripple Big Mac, with all the fixins, a ten peice nugget, two apple pies, supersized fries.....oh, and a DIET coke! LMAO Burger King does have a veggie burger. At least the one in my neighborhood does. Cost vs. profit. burger king HAD a veggie burger.. but when i tried it ... that burger was so not vegetable.

:D

i rather they just stick to the honest fatty foods.. instead of trying to trick people... because their vegetarian alternatives (even salads...) are highly questionable.

you don't want meat... just do the regular thing.. fresh produce section at the grocer.. i do that now.. i was curious but no longer i am... if it's not pure vegetable, fruit.. whatever i don't trust it...

you have to be very weary of fast food places and processed foods that claim vegetable of any sort.. even vegan friendly stuff is highly under scruteny.

i kid you not... it's boring at times.. but you know what you're getting when you go for the fresh produce. Market demand; as in there isn't any. Last I checked, Burger King does have a veggie burger on the menu, but I'm not sure if it is vegan or not. It probably goes through on the conveyor just like the meat patties do, though. Eww. How about sending them a (nice) email and asking them to start serving veggie burgers. They are always open to suggestions. Give them a good recipe that you would like followed. Here are a few for you to look over:
http://www.google.com/search?q=vegetaria... BK has one . . . I think you have to ask for it, though - either not on the menu or displayed prominently. I had them make it once like a chicken parm sandwich only with a veggie burger instead of chicken. They're good there.

At Wendy's the baked potatoes are probably the best option. As others said, BK does a have a veggie burger. I've had it before, I think it's pretty good.

Anyway, it's not in high demand. If you're a vegetarian/vegan, just don't go to fast food places to eat. If you do, get food like french fries, side salad (with no meat such as chicken on them), hashbrowns, or soda. Its In the name. BURGER KING. HAMBURGER. Wendys logo says Old Fashioned Hamburgers. They should stick with what they represent. That is why. BK serves veggie burgers in our area Well fast food and healthy are opposites, but it would be nice to have a veggie option and also whole wheat buns would be nice. The people who live in the area in which Burger King and Wendy's are located would not know what a "veggie burger was" or in all probability, it would not be greasy enough for them to eat one. Burger King does. never wondered.
Whoppers are great.
Wendy's ok. Burger King has a veggie burger and veggie whopper

the burger has mushrooms
and the whoppper has no pattie

only bun cheese lettuce tomato...

and wendy's used 2

and mcdonald's doesnt have any Burger King has had veggie burgers for years now. They use morningstar farms brand. The last sales report I read estimated that there are two veggie burgers purchased from each burger king a day. I wish Wendy's would add one but they do have the baked potatos. There was a new place that I went to in Florida though that was awsome. It was a fast food place but sold only organic, all natural foods and had a whole vegetarian line. I think it was called Go Fresh. I ate there about 3 times in four days. So good and even my mom and sister love it and they do eat meat. The cost was the same as any other fast food place but better food and you go a lot more. uh... Burger king DOES have a veggie burger.. I've eaten it several times.. definitely not meat.. I think it's a MSF gardenburger, to be exact.. Not vegan though...has cheese.. and BK usually puts mayo on the bun.. As a vegetarian, I would be very suspicious of the way the Burger King 'veggie' burger was cooked. I would imagine it would be done on the same grill as the regular burgers . . . Um, no thanks.

Best to U-Turn it to someplace else in your neighborhood that has better veggie options. The local Indian Chaat house? Thai takeaway? Yummy! First, there are not a lot of vegetarians, of those that exist many (maybe even most) vegetarians actually care about what they eat.

Anybody who care about what they eat (vegetarian or not) is going to step foot into a McDs, Burger King, or Wendy's. That leaves for a very small market.

Add to that the fact that a significant portion of the remaining potential market will insist that there veggy burger be cooked on a separate grill than the hamburgers, the fast food joint is left with either an almost non-existent market, or must make a capital expenditure to buy another grill, and have space for it to satisfy what would still be a tiny market.

The economics just ain't there. in fast food places in greece, they do have veggie burgers!but they taste like crap!so i always buy the fish burgers!:) Yes. There is a Burger King here in Nashville on Charlotte Avenue that has a really good veggie burger.

I don't know if it's city wide or not b/c I very, very rarely eat at a BK. Yep. BK does indeed have one. So does McDonald's. Vegetarians shouldn't really be eating there, though, unless in a pinch, IMO. I think its because the cost to make veggie burgers available would far exceed the profits that would be made. It doesnt seem like they would anyway because there really isnt that much of a demand for it anyway. Well according to the manager at the nearest one near me anyway.

For all those who say there is veggie burgers in mickey Ds or BK, down in Miami there is none. We dont have any veggie burgers so idk....at least i dont see any Possibly because those are even more gross than their burgers?

And I'm with you Chris!!! That diet Coke has to be thrown in for good measure...hehe....

I once had a friend order this HUGE chocolate eclair then order a coffee with sweetner. She actually SAID I have to watch my calories!! Unbelievable....
