Because I'm a vegetarian and you might understand why.
Answers: if your a vegetarian then don't eat anything that has gelatin in it because gelatin is made with animal huffs
check out this website, it gives you a little info about gelatin and what it contains.
http://sci-toys.com/ingredients/gelatin.... No. It shakes because you move the bowl..Ba-Dum -Tishh!
Actually, gelatin IS made from rendered animal parts. Geletin is made from the liquified tendons, cartiledge and fatty tissues that rise to the surface when you boil animal bones. (Usually pig bones-mostly feet). If you want to enjoy something with a jell-o consistency, try fruit pectin. It is in the store by the canning supplies. It is a little softer, but it does the job, plus you can make it yourself with out all of the nasty chemicals. Hope this helps. No they just tell you that so it doesn't gross you out. The truth is that Jello is a live animal that looks a lot like a delicious fruity snack. For once I agree with my troll. Both funny response and a serious one, wow! So rare I get to give my troll a thumbs up.
Yes it is made from animal bones. the gelatin in the jello is made of pigs feet and animal bone marrow Jello gelatin is made out of the bones. I didn't believe my husband when he told me and i looked it up and it was true. Jell-o is ossein, which is the protein (not the minerals) in bones. If you make soup from ham or chicken with bones, it gets thick from the gelatin once it cools. Same thing, except the gelatin in Jell-o is purified to remove the taste and smell. You don't need to grind up the bones, just boil them. Yes jello has gelatin in it, however there are alternative "gelatins" made from plants, do some research on foods like jello and yogurt that are gelatin free or use something other then animal bones/hides/ect Mostly (hooves) I honestly don't know if that's why it shakes or not. It definitely is true that it has ground up animal bones in it, though. Yep. Gelatin. That's what makes it all bouncy. It's also in marshmallows, gummy bears and skittles. Screw gelatin... yes it has gelatin, which is made from animals hoofs.. usually pig.. So we avoided it even when we still ate meat, because we avoided pork (Leviticus 11)..
Unfortunately, Jello is not vegetarian..
